Will changing boot mode from BIOS to UEFI cause data loss ?How to boot in UEFI?

I want to install Win 10 on a laptop that supports both BIOS and UEFI boot mode' Disk partitioning is GPT and laptop is booting in Legacy BIOS mode.

Whenever I choose a drive to install Win10 , it shows message "Windows cannot be installed to this disk.The selected disk is of GPT partition style" enter image description here

So my question is if booting in UEFI mode will cause data loss of other partitions?
