I have a problem with pretty much every challenging task on my PC. Microsoft office freezes and slows down, softwares may not respond when a difficult task is underway. The pc also freezes in google chrome sometimes without a particular pattern. My parts are quite efficient so I don't know what the actual problem is. When a program fails, all parts function at about 15-30% of their capability but I get a very high power usage sign in the task manager. The phenomenon is gradually exacerbating. It wasn't always like this. PC parts: CPU: i7 8700k, RAM: 32GB 3400GHz, Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1080Ti, Motherboard: MSI Z370 Sli plus, Power supply: Chieftec GPS 750-C. Thank you

I assume Windows 10. Update BIOS, Chipset, and all your remaining drivers. Uninstall Office. Uninstall Chrome. Do a Windows 10 Repair Install from the Microsoft Media Creation Link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 . Restart, install Office and patch. Install Chrome. Now test for speed.
