I am using a TP-LINK TL-WR841N router. I want to block a device with a certain MAC address from accessing certain domains at night, say www.youtube.com. I tested it with my phone, and this is what happened.
I set the access control schedule to be 2100 to 2300. If I try to watch YouTube after 2100, I cannot enter the website. However, if I start to watch YouTube before 2100, say at 2055, I can still watch any YouTube videos after 2100, as long as I use the same browser tab, but I cannot watch YouTube in a new tab. I can keep doing that for at least an hour, but didn't bother to test for longer.
Can anyone provide a solution for an effective access control for a certain schedule?
