I have Kali Linux 2019.1 installed with Gnome Desktop Environment installed.
I tried to shift to i3 window manager with sudo apt install i3, but as I try to login with i3wm It just puts my screen blank(screen turns off). When I press power key, my laptop shuts down. TTY command(as Ctrl+Alt+F1 ) also works fine after screen off as it screen turns on to show tty1.
