NetBIOS name changed by someone else?

I am using a MacBook Pro running macOS 10.14.5. This morning I have connected to an open network and to my surprise when I opened the terminal after the reboot the netBIOS name changed from the name I have specified few years ago to "galaxy-s6-edge". Should I be concerned? How could that happen?

net BIOS name:~ username$

What makes you think that's a netBIOS name? See https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/30552/os-x-computer-name-not-matching-what-shows-on-terminal & a million duplicates...

Because when I check the netBIOS name in system preferences it is also changed (Network > WIFI > Advanced > WINS) – Tabak – 2019-06-06T10:20:05.413

Have you considered that perhaps it works the opposite way and actually the NetBIOS name is based on your system hostname? – user1686 – 2019-06-06T11:05:51.827
