In my home network, the ping between my laptop (connected via WiFi to the router FRITZ!Box 7590) and my desktop (connected via LAN) is quite asymmetrical.
- From laptop to desktop: Consistently below 4ms
- From desktop to laptop: Varies between 2-150ms, 200-300ms if the laptop downloads a file
The bandwidth (measured with iperf) is more consistent: 60/70 Mbit.
Both computer run Arch Linux. The Laptop has an Intel 8265 wifi card.
Why does this occur and is there any way to improve this behaviour?
