In my area, I have 2 FTTH service providers, each providing service to my home.
I have only one optical cable to connect to both service providers.
I am using a load balancer to combine the 2 connections.
I am still learning networking, and I am not able to figure out the best solution that would enable me to connect to both FTTH service providers with one fiber cable.
I was thinking that I might be able to connect both FTTH service providers to a switch outside my home and then hide all the cabling and device with a junction box.
However, I don't want to do all the PPPoE connections outside my home.
Is there any better way to merge the connections outside my home and connect to both of the service providers inside my house using one fiber optical cable?
I am hoping that after the connection is inside my home on a single fiber cable, I could sort out the connections using VLAN or something like that.
This could enable me to connect the fiber optic cable inside my home to the PPPoE modem inside my home
1Drawing a diagram would be helpful... what exactly are you trying to achieve? Is one fibre delivered to your property? or are you wanting to "join" the two fibres into one to pass through your property allowing you to keep equipment in a suitable location? – Attie – 2019-03-27T19:05:47.133
