Driven by interests in computer science I tought myself programming as a teenanger. Besides studying Microsystems Engineering at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg/ Germany, where I graduated as an engineer (Dipl.-Ing.), I worked as software developer and learned to apply software architectures and designs to real world problems on different projects involving high-traffic web applications and distributed computing systems. Building on a solid ground of object-oriented design knowledge, I feel confident in different programming worlds, from server-side environments around Ruby applications, database systems and server administration to client-side ones like HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Android/iOS.
