How do I remove a dedicated (DHS) or global hot spare (GHS)?
I want to replace a hot spare with a new disk, for example to replace a smaller disk with a bigger one or when the manufacturer does a callback of a series of disks.
How do I do that?

LSI Megaraid missing raid1 drive group after replace faulty drive
in my server a faulty drive was swapped (E252:0). LSI 9260 controller.
before swap i set the drive to missing, offline and spin down (252:0)
Server was shut down before swap.
