I have been working with a multinational ISP for about 10 years and have a lot of experience with network design, development and troubleshooting. I understand the intricate workings of most switching and routing technologies which an ISP would use and include new emerging technologies such as SD-WAN.

I feel like I could be missing something, but I need the expertise of the internet to help me draw a conclusive answer.

I am looking into testing between point A and point B in a network without the use of IPERF.

Testing should be able to complete the standard RFC and Y.1564 along with IP testing and additionally TCP/UDP throughput.

My real query is after the following:

Two remote accessible physical testers (Tester A and Tester B) are connected in the MPLS network with a confirmed working clean path between them with all of the above validated tests.

Testing and knowing that the path between those two points is fine but what about if I wanted to test via a proxy node like a CPE?

Think about it like this. I would like to test from Tester A to Tester B but going via node C to test the path between node A and B using route manipulation so I can test between any two points in the MPLS network through any CPE.

Is there a product already out there that can do this?

I can explain further if necessary but once again thanks in advance :)
