I know there are Linux utility to sent commands to drives, like hdparm.

Is there no Windows equivalent to do so? I understand it's only accessible through WinPE as per https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/windows-driver-docs/blob/staging/windows-driver-docs-pr/storage/security-group-commands.md

But WinPE is perfect as I'm using it in the first place to either unattended install and other utilities like sdelete.exe. Booting to linux just to wipe something is way to cumbersome when the boot up for the server takes over 10 minutes each time.

Does anyone know of any program that send the ATA commands from windows? Or do I need to go and figure out storage device controller and write a driver/software to communicate with it?
