How to install latest docker via spinnaker pipeline onto GCE VM

I'm creating a GCE VM from a spinnaker pipeline to deploy an app via Docker Compose.

When I try to get Docker Compose installed on the VM in the way shown in the image, it installs Docker version 1.

Is there a way for me to get the latest version of docker installed on the VMs deployed via a Spinnaker pipeline?
