I am running a Windows Server 2012 R2 failover cluster environment for development, to mirror our production cluster, and I have VSS able to expose to a drive, mount point or share local to the Cluster Node, but I cannot seem to be able to expose to a Cluster Role drive or mount point.
The error tends to be:
Attempting to expose the shadow copy as local mount point S:\Test. Could not expose the shadow copy set.
The last operation failed.
- Returned HRESULT: 80070057 - Error text: E_INVALIDARG
It seems that VSS only wants to talk to storage on the current node, and is not cluster-aware.
If anyone could confirm or offer a solution, I'd appreciate it.
