I am currently managing a newly setup Plesk Server, which should act as a mail server (It uses a standard configuration, so Postfix, Dovecot, and Roundcube)

My Problem is, that any User logged in their Webmail, can just send Mails from other addresses by adding new Identities (that's what's it called in Roundcube) where they can just set a new sending address.

  • Perhaps you'd like to give a little more detail on why that is a problem. I often use what is considered "sub" addressing with `+` eg user+sub@example.com There are other situations where people / companies will use an entire subdomain in the same way eg sub@user.example.com. – Timothy c Oct 21 '20 at 22:03
  • The problem -as I understand it- is: employee@domain.tld can assign identity „boss@domain.tld“ to himself and send mails as boss... – Tode Oct 22 '20 at 06:20
