I grew up on IRC in the 1990s; and took an interest in security back in the early days before when "hacker" meant anyone who eats less calories by having a banana-frozen yogurt combination :) I later got a CS degree and began a white-hat IT career.

Today my areas of focus are in Information Security, DevOps, and networking. I've also spent plenty of time doing infrastructure and information security management. I'm a stickler for "best practices" and bring insight from consulting at over 100 firms in my many years of IT experience.

On the side, I'm an audio engineer (large-scale systems, car audio, home audio, processing), art maker, and sometime cat petter.
