Though my modern job description would be "web developer," I think of myself as a general coder, since I was building and selling commercial computer programs since before most of you were born. I cut my teeth on PR1MOS mainframes, suckled at the teat of 6502 Assembler, and am happy to develop robust, stable, reliable code in mature languages, rather than playing Javascript Framework Bingo and piling up several megabytes of dependencies to solve a problem that could be done in under 5K elsewhere. "Move fast and break stuff" only works until the VC's money runs out.
