Today I charged my old smartphone (which is potentially infected with malware), using a standard USB charger. Afterwards, I used the same charger (and cable) to charge my new smartphone.

The USB charger needs a cable that has a USB connector on the one side (plugged into the carger) and a Micro-USB 2.0 connector on the other side (plugged into the smartphone). (I used the same charger and cable for both smartphones.)

Could my new smartphone now be infected with malware?
