I just came across this blog post (archived here). I am curious to know where I can find more data on false positive rates of anti-virus software. Of course, any such data would be subjective, since the samples are chosen by the people who publish such data, so it would be nice to also have clearly defined criteria for the samples included. Does anyone know where to find such data?

A secondary question (which was what originally prompted my main question) is: What is the point of looking at the results from Jiangmin if it has 0.8% false-positive rate (the second-highest after SymantecMobileInsight) but only 8.72% true-positive rate? Is there anything about Jiangmin that makes its results have any value at all? (Jiangmin always 'detects' malware in many files checked by VirusTotal, and I started wondering whether I should just ignore Jiangmin completely in all cases.)
