This thread is for how ssh-keygen relates to quantum computing attacks.
What are the strengths and weaknesses of the ssh-keygen algorithms as related to quantum computing, which from my understanding will be able to potentially crack them in in a fraction of a second? Is there any work that is currently being done to circumvent this?
Background; We are heading towards a dire need to future-proof most known security algorithms from quantum cracking threats. As we know, Google/IBM, PRC China, and others, are working in a race to make quantum computing accessible, and secret to their own country. We will be pants-down when this happens, I believe!
