Laura Loomer (1993–) is a botched clone of Lauren Southern,[citation NOT needed] former Project Veritas employee, current alt-right activist and failed Republican congressional candidate, Islamophobe, self-described "journalist",[2] and all-around idiot (though we're repeating ourselves).

Early "activism"

Loomer's first big stunt was a poorly-produced "sting" for Project Veritas in which she attempted to create a "humanitarian pro-ISIS" club at her school, Barry University.[3] For this, she was suspended and faced criminal charges.[4] She also has secretly video-taped professors and smeared them as ISIS sympathizers, breaking Florida law of filming without consent and also violating code of conduct, creating a disruptive and hostile community for the students and staff. Loomer can cry to the judges about her free speech and see how that holds up.

Anti-Muslim bigotry

Loomer is an anti-Muslim bigot. She consistently attacks Muslims as a group instead of criticizing Islam. For example, she consistently describes Muslims as savages:

I generally try to not support Muslim owned businesses companies here in NY. That shouldn't be hard to do in US, but w/ immigration it is.[18] Nearly every cab @uber @lyft driver in NYC is Muslim. It's extremely unfortunate and this is a conversation we need to have for our safety.[19]

Someone needs to create a non Islamic form of @uber or @lyft because I never want to support another Islamic immigrant driver.[20]

Loomer runs with the Alex Jones and Mike Cernovich crowds. For example, she is proud to say that "CNN is ISIS".[41] Loomer also engaged in holocaust denial by victim blaming George Soros as a Nazi collaborator.[31][42]

Twitter drama about teh sensy ship

Twitter removed Loomer's "verified" blue checkmark. In response, Loomer wrote:

Suicide threats

In recent times, Loomer threatened to commit suicide because she had her Twitter blue check verification removed.[47] Twitter Support responded by telling Loomer that she needs help.[48] Loomer then attempted to retract her suicide threats over losing her blue check mark by launching the #ImNotSuicidal hashtag.[49] She is still unverified now banned from Twitter.[50][51] We at RationalWiki hope that Laura Loomer gets the help she needs!

Banned from Twitter and Facebook

By 2018, Twitter grew sick of Loomer's antics and decided to ban her.[52] Loomer then responded by handcuffing herself to the door of a Twitter office in NYC while wearing a yellow Jewish star and threatening to pee her pants.[53][54][55][56][57][58][59][60][61][62][63][64][65][66][67] Unsurprisingly, her account was not reactivated.

In 2019, Facebook banned Loomer and several other individuals (Alex Jones, Paul Joseph Watson, Paul Nehlen, Milo Yiannopoulos and Louis Farrakhan) as "dangerous individuals and organizations".[68][69]

Running for office

On August 2, 2019, Loomer decided that she was going to run for the United States House of Representatives for Florida's 21st congressional district, running as a Republican (surprise, surprise).[70] She faced five other Republicans in the 2020 primary, including a QAnon crank (Reba Sherrill).[71] Proving that even Florida is capable of making the occasional rational decision... wait, no, apparently she won.[72]

Loomer faced incumbent Democratic Party Representative Lois Frankel in November 2020. Frankel wound up winning in the 2020 House of Representatives Elections, ending Loomer's bid. [73]
