Chickenhawk/Iraq war vote

Seven Republicans (Senator Chafee and six Representatives) voted against the resolution.

Good evening and welcome to War for everyone, an exceptional evening for this Iraq war in which you find the best moments of yesterday. The analysis of the combats through rolling curtain, the jokes of Arthur and many other pleasant suprises. To accompany us this evening and give us their opinion on the war I demand you to applaud Jenniffer and Jean-Pascal from Star AcademyFile:Wikipedia's W.svg.
— Les guignols de l'Info, TF1File:Wikipedia's W.svg presents the Iraq War [1]

One hundred forty seven (126 in the House, 21 in the Senate) Democrats voted against.

Both Independents, one in each house, voted against.

No one is innocent of being a chickenhawk just because of this one vote against, however, we can examine those who voted for it, and see how they have played warrior with their own life on the line. We might also "excuse" some of the "YEA" votes if within a year or two of the onset of hostilities they publicly proclaimed clear regret at their vote. Also, if the person had military service under their belt e.g. John McCain or James Inhofe, then they're not really a chickenhawk, even if they're the most die-hard war supporter imaginable. However, all-too-many of these hawks also happen to be chickenhawks.

gollark: I think that "collect cool dragons" is a perfectly viable strategy in a game about collecting cool dragons.
gollark: Arguably, anything longer than about 35G is rarer than... a lot of rares, I guess?
gollark: Value drops exponentially after CB - unless it's a really rare thing like a prize - until you get to stupidly high generations, at which point it shoots up again.
gollark: There's a weird value curve for dragons, I think.
gollark: Wow, okay then.
