Technical Writer
My name is Spencer Day (no relation to Charlie Day of It's Always
Sunny In Philadelphia, unfortunately) and I joined iFixit in 2022. Since I've started, I've learned about electronics, repair, and—most importantly—writing! I've had the pleasure of creating over 300 guides, which range from MacBook Air screen replacement, to fingerprint calibration, to a guide on how to use digital calipers. I am constantly learning in this job and truly appreciate every day at iFixit.
Education
I graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a BA in Philosophy and a minor in Computer Science. My writing-intensive education mixed with my love of technology led me straight to iFixit and the wonderful field of technical writing!
Hobbies
Outside of work I enjoy spending times outdoors (backpacking, hiking, running, taking my car off-road), surfing, playing guitar (mostly bluegrass), and reading (mainly science fiction/fantasy and history).
