Introduction

This is a disassembly guide for the Kitchen Gourmet Electric Hot Pot Model No. WM-6105 that allows you to access all of the components without permanently damaging any of them. This disassembly only requires use of a screwdriver. Further disassembly to replace individual components would require soldering, which is not covered in this guide.

    • Remove the three rubber feet.

    • You can pinch them quite hard to pull them out as they are not held in by adhesive.

    • Remove the 7 12 mm Phillips #1 screws.

    • The white plastic bar holding two of the screws comes loose once they are unscrewed.

    • Remove the white plastic bar holding the cord.

    • Push the cord through the opening while pulling the base away from the body.

    • Flip the hot pot so it it right-side-up.

    • Unscrew the single 8 mm Phillips screw holding the temperature dial in place.

    • Remove the dial from plastic housing knob.

    • Unscrew the eight 6 mm screws holding in the metal brackets.

    • Remove the metal brackets.

    • Unscrew the single screw holding down the clamp that connects the thermal switch (black cylinder) and the white wire to the body of the hot pot.

    • Remove the clamp holding down the thermal switch and white wire.

    • There is thermal grease between the thermal switch and the metal base of the hot pot. Once the bracket comes off, and the switch comes unattached, you may need to reapply it if you plan to reattach the switch.
