Background

The Roomba 692 from iRobot is a WiFi-connected robot vacuum that uses a 3-stage cleaning system to clean dirty surfaces. Released in 2020, the Roomba 692 is a mid-range model in the series, offering basic features and performance. The robot vacuum can be controlled through the iRobot Home App on a smartphone and is compatible with voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

The Roomba 692 weighs 6.77 pounds, and its dimensions are 13.4 inches wide x 3.54 inches tall. The Roomba 692 uses a lithium-ion battery and can clean for up to 90 minutes on a single charge.

The Roomba 692 uses a three-stage cleaning system to pick up dirt, dust, and debris from carpets and hard floors. It has a brush roll and two spinning brushes that work together to agitate and lift dirt from surfaces, while a suction motor pulls it into a dustbin. It is designed to clean and navigate around a room using a combination of software algorithms. One of these algorithms is iRobot’s Dirt Detect technology, which allows the vacuum to detect dirtier areas and clean them more thoroughly.

Identification

The Roomba 692 has an all-black body with a plastic exterior and softened rounded edges. It has a silver iRobot logo on top, as well as a power button with the word “CLEAN” in green lettering. It has two large navigational wheels and a 3-arm spinning side brush that sweeps debris into the cleaning path of the brushroll.
