Background and Identification
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) Android phone is manufactured by Samsung Electronics. It was released as part of the Samsung Galaxy A series in September 2018. Two variants of the A7 (2018) are available. The lower-performance model includes 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, while the higher-performance model includes 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Though its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy A6 (2018) includes dust resistance and water resistance up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes, the A7 does not include these protections.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is available in black, blue, gold, and pink bodies. The A7 (2018) is Samsung’s first triple camera smartphone, meaning that it has three different cameras on the rear of the phone. However, the low light camera is known to have low performance (TechRadar). It can also be identified by its 6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display (aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and resolution of 2280x1080) with rounded edges on its body, though the display does not have rounded corners. The A7 also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor located on the power button and Dolby Atmos immersive sound technology. The A7 also includes a Face Unlock feature.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) features Bixby Home (Samsung’s virtual assistant), without Bixby voice support or a Bixby button. The device also includes Always on Display, a scratch-resistant front panel, and a reflective glass back panel.
