This device is a orange and black corded multi-tool, with the RIDGID logo on one side . The model number for this device is located on the opposite side of the RIDGID logo, and right above the yellow triangular caution symbol. The model number for this device is: R2851- Series B.
Device Overview:
The Ridgid JobMax R2851 Series B multi-tool is a power tool that has the capability of switching from one tool to the other. This tool has an adjustable head that enables it to be used in many different positions. This device can be used for many different jobs with the use of different attachments that are compatible with this tool.
You can tell this device from others due to its color. Most Rigid tools are orange and black. This is also the only multi-tool that Rigid makes that is corded. Some of the many failure modes that are associated with this tool are:
- Blade running off center
- LED light will not run
- Blade heating up
- Grease leaking from tool
- Decreased torque over time
