Troubleshooting

Background

The Nintendo NES Advantage was released to the public in 1987. The NES Advantage was made to look and feel like an arcade game joystick. The joystick made the NES Advantage an innovative product; it mimicked a joystick on an arcade game, and it was intended to give players an advantage during at-home game play.

The NES Advantage was advertised for kids and teens who would often frequent arcades. Since they promoted the Advantage as an arcade controller at home, Nintendo targeted avid arcade game players. The NES Advantage was a hit and became popular in pop culture.

The NES Advantage is used in the movie "Ghostbusters II." During the scene when the Ghostbusters are controlling the Statue of Liberty, they are using an NES Advantage to lead the Statue. The NES Advantage is also used in Christina Aguilera's Music video "Your Body."
