The Lezyne Pressure Drive is a portable hand-operated air pump produced and sold by Lezyne, an American manufacturer of bicycle accessories. The hand pump features CNC-machined aluminum construction and is designed for high-pressure applications. An ABS Flex Hose is equipped with Presta and Schrader valve compatibility and an integrated valve core tool.
Hand pumps are manually operated pumps that use human power and mechanical advantage to move fluids (liquids or gasses) from one place to another. Hand pumps are used widely around the world for industrial, marine, irrigation, and leisure activities. Hand pumps generally operate on a piston, diaphragm, or rotary vane principle with a check valve on the exit and entry ports operating in opposing directions. Most hand pumps use positive displacement to move fluids and are either piston pumps or plunger pumps.
The Lezyne Pressure Drive hand pump has a maximum operating pressure of 120 pounds per square inch (PSI) or 8.3 bar. The bicycle pump is sold in two different sizes, small and medium.
The Lezyne Pressure Drive hand pump is sold in black, gold, purple, red, and blue colors, though the blue color is not available in the United States. The pump includes the name “Lezyne” in capital letters above the words “Pressure Drive,” also in capital letters near the top of the pump’s body. The words “ABS Flex Hose” are printed in capital letters near the bottom of the pump’s body.
