Background and Identification

Hewlett-Packard’s Officejet printer line offers a variety of models specialized for different uses. HP describes their printers as varying in resolution, print speed, connectivity, and paper handling to meet the differing needs of offices, businesses, homes, and students. Wireless options are available within the Officejet printer line. Some models are even compatible with mobile printing, in case printing from your phone is what makes your clock tick. HP has a thorough customer service site for the Officejet printer line, offering troubleshooting and instructional videos for numerous Officejet models.

The HP Officejet printer line is often, and understandably, confused with the HP Deskjet printer series. The Officejet line includes over 20 different models, with prices ranging from $100 to $2,000. The Officejet offers high-powered solutions for businesses, hence the name, but also a variety of models more suited for a home. Alternatively, the Deskjet printer line offers just a handful of models for basic home or dorm-room printing needs. All Deskjet models are under $100.

HP Officejet printers come in a variety of sizes and appearances. They are mostly neutral colors, although some models, such as the HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer, have pops of color. They are rectangular in shape and include a paper tray and control panel.
