Background

The Dyson DC28 Animal was released by Dyson as part of the DC series. It made its debut in 2009 as a powerful stand up cleaner made for picking up the hard stuff like pet hair and deep matted debris.

When looking at the vacuum, it is standing upright with a bagless design to make it easier to dump the debris. The Dyson DC28 Animal does differ from the other cleaners in the DC-series with its body type and color scheme. The head assembly of the vacuum is more squared off and is directly attached to the hinge point where one can lean the vacuum back for better cleaning. The Dyson DC28 Animal can also be identified by the purple casing of the vacuum's filters. These colors can be seen on top cover of the the filter identified by the multiple circular casings to encase the vacuum's patented "cyclone technology."

Identification

The vacuum was originally identified as the DC28-Animal-345267 but was soon shortened to the DC28.
