Background and Identification

The Canon PIXMA MG3550 is a compact all-in-one scanner, copier, and printer for home use. It can be used to print and scan using a tablet or smartphone with the PIXMA Printing Solutions application. This printer was released in white and black variants.

The Canon PIXMA MG3550 supports Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint. With Google Cloud Print, users can print Google Documents, emails, photos, and PDF documents over the internet, meaning users can print from across the globe. Optional extra-large ink cartridges are available. It prints images with 4,800 dots per inch (dpi). The Canon PIXMA MG3550 also has automatic double-sided printing and automatically turns on when it is given a printing task.

This printer was released in white and black variants. Both versions include the name “Canon” in silver font engraved in the front of the printer’s tray. It also includes the PIXMA logo, which depicts the name “PIXMA” in capital letters with a stylized letter “X” above the name. The printer’s tray can be lowered to catch printed documents. Because the printer has scanning and copying capabilities, the top case of the printer can be lifted up. Control buttons are located on the left-hand side of the printer if viewed facing the printer’s tray.
