Background

  • The Black and Decker The ShellBaker Meal and Dessert Maker G400 is a home kitchen appliance that was released in 1993. The device is designed to be used for foods such as cookies, breads, cakes, and pastries. Simply put any bread mix into the pan, plug the Shellbaker into an outlet, and the ShellBaker will bake the dough into four shells that can be filled with anything you choose, from fruits to pizza to ice cream.
  • The manual for the Shellbaker includes many recipe/filling suggestions.
  • The exterior of the Shellbaker is a white plastic and the interior of the Shellbaker is covered in black, stainless steel.
  • The appliance comes with a removable, non-stick cooking pan that is put on the bottom of the ShellBaker.
  • Neither the removable pan or the Shellbaker appliance is designed to be used in the oven; the Shellbaker is its own stand-alone appliance.
  • The cord can be extended using an extension cord that may not be rated less than 10 amperes and 120 volts.
  • This product is discontinued, but similarly functioning items, such as waffle makers, can be found on the Black and Decker official website.

Identification

  • This product can be distinguished from similar products, such as Black and Decker's current waffle maker models, due to the unique 4-compartment design.
  • The model number can be found on the front of the product's box in the bottom left corner, as well as on the bottom of the appliance near the hinge where it is written in faint raised lettering.
