Background and Identification
Asus tablets are manufactured by AsusTek Computer Inc. (commonly shortened to Asus), a multinational computer hardware company based in Taiwan.
The first tablet, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer, was launched in 2011 at CES and offered a 10.1” screen, a docking keyboard, 1280 × 800 resolution, and WIFI, but lacked 3G connectivity.
They also created an Android-based tablet in 2013 that could be connected to a monitor called the Transformer Book Trio that essentially became a Windows 8 device.
Asus tablets are known for slim design, portable light construction, but they also have a long battery life, powerful processors and excellent display quality. They are good for general use, entertainment, or even gaming.
As of 2020, the newest models on the Asus site are the ASUS ZenPad 10 and the ASUS MeMO Pad and some of the newer models being reviewed are the Asus Zenpad S 8″, the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700, the Asus Transformer Book T100, the Asus MemoPad 7″, the Asus VivoTab RT, the Asus ZenPad 10.1″, and the Asus ZenPad 3S.
