Background

The ASUS Essentio CM1745 is a tower desktop PC systems as part of ASUS’s CM Series. ASUS is a Taiwanese computer and phone hardware and electronics company. ASUS produces desktop computers, laptops, netbooks, mobile phones, networking equipment, monitors, Wi-Fi routers, projectors, motherboards, graphics cards, optical storage, multimedia products, peripherals, wearables, servers, workstations, and tablet PCs. As of December 2011, the ASUS Essentio line consisted of the CG Series (designed for gaming), the CM series (for entertainment and home use), and the CS and CP slimline series.

The ASUS Essentio CM1745 includes an A8-5500 processor with a speed of 3.2 GHz. It features a six-in-one card reader that supports memory stick, memory stick PRO, MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, SDHC Memory Card, and xD-Picture Card flash memory cards. The CM1745 is powered by the AMD Virgo CPU and an AMD HD Media Accelerator for video playback. The tower includes 4 MB of installed cache memory and 8 GB of RAM with a memory speed fo 1600 MHz. It can support up to 16 GB of memory with four memory slots. The ASUS Essentio CM1745 also supports a hard drive up to 1 TB.

Identification

The ASUS Essentio CM1745 is a black tower desktop system with several output/input slots at the top of the tower’s front face. The name “ASUS” is printed on the right-hand side of the center of the tower’s front face.
