Weapon (Unique), uncommon Zalantar Gem Staff Simple Melee Weapons Weapon Cost Damage Weight Properties Zalantar Gem Staff 5 gp 1d6 bludgeoning 2 lb. Versatile (1d8) Staffs made from zalantar wood weigh half as much as normal wooden staffs of the same type. Due to this weight reduction, any attack with a zalantar gem staff gets a +1 bonus to its attack roll. In the centre of the zalantar gem staff is a small opening. You can place certain gemstones worth at least 10 gp in this opening. If you do, the staff will glow and any attack that hits will do 2 points of extra damage. Only one gemstone can be placed in the staff at any time and it can be removed or replaced. The gemstones and associated damage types are listed below.
