Heirs to ancient alien clans, yautja live mainly in dense hot tropical forests, but travel the world hunting for trophies and gaining honor with in their clan. Only three of these clans remain here in the world: the Dark Blade clan, the Kuk clan, and the Lost Hunters. Most races avoid the yautja because of simple fear of what they can do. If they don’t avoid them, they are careful not to show themselves as a threat unless they know they can kill the skilled hunter. However, yautjas live by an extreme code of honor. Killing innocent women, children, or an unarmed creature, unless considered deadly enough without a weapon, would result in losing all their honor within the clan. Those subject to this fate become an outcast and face possible death.

But their traditions and training have not been lost. Most yautja either multiclass or hybrid the ranger and rogue classes because this best embodies the training and traditions of their clans. However, some have chosen to leave their clans and seek out a future of their own and have since been considered disowned by the clans. The disowned are allowed to leave and live because they have not become dishonored by breaking their code, or they would have been killed instead.
