Wrym and Elf

Prerequisites: Level 4+, Elf, Wisdom 14, and the ability to cast at-least one magical spell or ability.
You gain a Mana Wyrm as a companion. Most elves are deeply connected to nature and magic. Through this connection manifestations of magic energy known commonly as Mana Wyrm's linger around elven homelands where magic is wild and plentiful. Often times elves will form as strong connection with these creatures much like human would a dog or cat. This bond takes a physical form in a form of a spiritual bond. You may spend 1d4 hours and make a DC 20 Animal Handling check to attempt to bond with a Mana Wyrm . Upon a success:

You gain the service of a familiar, in the form of a Mana Wyrm . The familiar has the statistics of the chosen form. At 7th level your Mana Wrym grows into a Adult Mana Wyrm and at the 15th level grows into an Ancient Mana Wyrm .

Your familiar acts independently of you, but it always obeys your commands. In combat, it rolls its own initiative and acts on its own turn.

When the familiar drops to 0 hit points, it disappears, leaving behind no physical form. It reappears by your side after you complete a long rest.

While your familiar is within 100 feet of you, you can communicate with it telepathically. Additionally, as an action, you can see through your familiar’s eyes and hear what it hears until the start of your next turn, gaining the benefits of any special senses that the familiar has. During this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own senses.

As an action, you can temporarily dismiss your familiar. It disappears into a pocket dimension where it awaits your summons. As an action while it is temporarily dismissed, you can cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you.

gollark: I think I've mostly been viewbombed after posting on the remove sickness forum threads...
gollark: It wouldn't even be very hard to make it. You just need to send HTTP requests fast. There's off-the-shelf stuff to do that and anyone with knowledge can do that in probably 10 lines of code.
gollark: What do I have to do with this?
gollark: Yes, viewbombers have good AR systems.
gollark: I try to avoid that, and as someone without anything *massively* valuable I remain mostly unaffected.
