When a sentient humanoid dies with hatred or anger in its heart while near a wraith vine bramble, the bramble will consume it's flesh and soul alike, causing it to become a wraith weed, an ogre-sized mass of undead vegetation. The vine wraps around its skeletal remains to replace its tendons and muscle and the soul is trapped inside a cage of vines, its unquenched urge for vengeance fueling its hideous unnatural movements. The wraith weed hunts for more prey, dying just to be born again, consuming more souls so it can spread the reach of its hunt, until it can finally ascend from its wretched existence. |
