Winding Strike (3.5e Martial Artist Maneuver)

[[3e Summary::Your attack can stun opponents, and demoralize them if you hit them before they hit you.]]

Winding Strike

In battle, the first attack is most important. If you can get in a quick strike, you will find your enemy's focus lessen.

Level: Aggressive 1
Type: Action (Attack)
Description: A foe damaged by your attack (either unarmed or with a melee weapon) must succeed on a Fortitude saving throw. A defender who fails on this saving throw is stunned for 1 round. Furthermore, if the first successful attack in a battle against a particular opponent is a winding strike and the opponent fails his Fortitude save, he must also make a Will save or become winded for an additional 2d4 turns after recovering from the stun effect. A creature that is winded takes a -1 penalty to attack rolls, saving throws and skill checks.

gollark: I got an email from them (not even to me directly, forwarded from my parents) and:- the removed week of the summer term is being added to the end- they seem to expect to reopen in a month or so?- half the lessons will apparently now involve "human interaction", implying video calls or something, which will be *really annoying*, instead of having them just set work- they're running a timetable?!- I'm expected to be up by 08:45⸘
gollark: (that's not the annoying bit, I'm still typing)
gollark: So my school is being very annoying. There's been a somewhat longer easter holiday, but that ends soon and I'm going back to (remote) school.
gollark: Even with root, I've found it really irritatingly hard to do some things with my phone.
gollark: The situation is definitely better than with Apple stuff, but it's still annoying.
