3e Summary::Werepyres are a mixture of werewolves and vampires they look like werewolves with black fur and red eyes.

Creating a Werepyre

This is an aquired template that can be applied to humanoids (referred to hereafter as the base creature).

Size and Type

Size becomes medium the creatures type changes to undead and subtype changes to shapechanger.

Hit Dice

Increase all current and future Hit Dice to d12s.

Speed

Speed remains the same.

Armor Class

Natural armor class increases to +10.

Attack

Retains ability to use manufactured weapons gains a claw attack which does 1d4 damage and a bite that does 1d6 damage.

Special Attacks

Loses the ability to cast spells with verbal components.

Special Qualities

As natural lycanthrope with the base animal of wolf in its hybrid form and vampire.

Abilities

  • Increase from the base creature as follows: Str +8, Dex +8, Int +2, Wis +4, Cha +4. As an undead creature, a werepyre
  • Werepyres have a +8 racial bonus on Bluff, Hide, Listen, Move Silently, Search, Sense Motive, and Spot checks. Otherwise same as the base creature

Feats

A werepyre receives Iron Will, alertness, Dodge, Improved Initiative, and Lightning Reflexes as bonus feats.

Environment

Dungeons towns or forests.

Organization

Solitary

Challenge Rating

Same as base creature +5.

Treasure

Standard.

Alignment

Always chaotic evil.

Advancement

By character class.

Level Adjustment

Same as base creature +11.
