ACTIONS

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 35 (9d6 + 4) piercing damage.

Paralysis Gas (Recharge 6). The verucka exhales paralysing gas in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be paralysed for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Large marine creatures very similar to whales, verucka are vicious carnivores that eat tremendous amounts of fish, though they have no compunctions about eating humanoids and other sentient creatures. Above all else, however, they love to eat cattle, often climbing onto the shore to hunt on unguarded farms, though they won't stop at cattle, typically moving on to chickens, sheep, and even farmers, before returning to the deep, though they are far too slow to sustain a chase, relying on their size and paralysing gas to trap victims. They move clumsily on land with stubby legs that look far too small to support them, and they look almost funny if they weren't also vicious and voracious predators.

gollark: Unlike Nim's, they have to manage accursed lifetime apiology, and actually have threadpools and good schedulers.
gollark: Also some indirection since there are multiple async runtimes.
gollark: Nim has some sort of thousand-line event loop thing at most, Rust has VAST convolutions of streams and stuff.
gollark: They are very big and complex.
gollark: Also the entire mess of Rust async runtimes.
