Physical Description

Valkyries look like the winged souls of female humans, clad in armor.

History

Born in Midgard, Valkyries are the souls of dead shieldmaidens, chosen by Odin because of their exceptional skill or strength to become his servants.

Society

Valkyries live in Valhalla, often serving the Einherjar food and any other of their needs. When not in Valhalla they are searching the battlefields, choosing the fates of mortals, and bringing souls to Asgard.

Valkyrie Names

Usually Norse words linked to their personality.

eg.:Þrúðr ("power"), Hlökk ("noise", or "battle"), Herfjötur ("host-fetter"), Göll ("tumult")

Valkyrie Traits

Winged female spirits that take the spirits of the dead to valhalla.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Strength, Dexterity, or Wisdom score increases by 1.
Age. Valkyries do not age
Alignment. Valkyries are the servants of Odin, so they are mostly of the good alignment. But it is possible for them to change gods, in which case they can have other alignments.
Size. Valkyries tend to be similar in build to humans. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Wings. Gain 30 feet Fly Speed at 1st level, increases by 5 feet every 3 levels for a total of 60 feet at Level 18.
Swan Shape. You can Wild shape into a Swan (As the Druid Wild Shape Feature) you may use this feature once before having to finish a long rest to regain it's use. You gain an extra use at level 6 and another at level 12.
Languages. You can read, write, and speak both Common and Celestial.
