Dragons

Hi Vobria, no there aren't any 5e dragon races yet. I have one piece of advice. The PHB classes assume a humanoid-shaped character and might not work well with a dragon race; also there's a lot to dragons (breath weapon, flight, their big, natural armor and weapons. That's all for starters) that can be difficult to pack into a race package. I've experimented with a race/class monstrous character combination at Chimera (5e Class) and I suggest you follow a similar format. Marasmusine (talk) 02:04, 21 September 2015 (MDT)

Thanks the for the response. I checked out your creation and I assume that a dragon template should be placed in the "Classes" section as opposed to the "Races" section, yes? Also, after reading your example, would it be easier to created separate entries for each race of dragon (gold, silver, blue, red, etc.) or one, all-encompassing entry for dragons with the different types of dragons listed as subraces? I'm leaning towards the latter, although this is certainly something I intend to draft out extensively on paper/excel before transferring it to the wiki. Vobria (talk) 02:27, 21 September 2015 (MDT)
Yes, for now it can go in classes. There is also 5e Special Classes if you want to make more of a "prestige class" with 5-level or 10-level. Again, I experimented with this, with the Sainted class (which is a racial class).
For your second question, it depends on how much cross-over there is. You could go for separate classes, different archetypes or racial subraces depending on the differences.
Also, for the chimera, when deciding what to put in the basic "racial traits", I tried to think of what was absolutely intrinsic to the creature - its basic physiology. Basically "what if" it could pick some other class, what would it need to still be that creature. Marasmusine (talk) 02:16, 8 October 2016 (MDT)

Images

Regarding File:Heavy Mace.jpeg, it looks like it is under copyright, so unless you have permission from Wally Gilbert, I'll have to remove it. One workaround is to use an external link to that image (although that exact image is too large for that); or you can use Google Images to search for images labelled for reuse (i.e. under a copyleft license). gollark: As Epicbot so eloquently put it, "you are like so many monotones".
gollark: █████ ████ ██████████, ██████ ███ █████████ ██████ you, Tux1.
gollark: Please cease these javan actions.
gollark: Utter commutative ring.
gollark: How does that work? The public triangles-with-one-side-an-arc generally doesn't sell shares to investors.
