User talk:Veo1123

Ay, whats good. I'm a pretty new user who likes to create homebrew content for 5e DnD. Please contact me if you have any questions about any of my edits, if you want me to create something (bare in mind, I will let you know if I'm interested in the idea or not), or want to talk about any of my creations. Thanks! Veo1123 (talk) 22:33, 28 July 2017 (MDT)

Formatting

Syntax can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). Hi Veo1123 - Unfortunately, I've had to delete Dvati (5e Race), as it breaches copyright permissions, and the creator's just contacted us, here. I think it's a real shame, as you had made some great constructive edits, and maintained for over a year now, but this is unfortunately a legal requirement. You should receive a copy of the final state of the page, for private use. Again, real sorry - Let me know if I can do anything to help. --SgtLion (talk) 03:37, 12 April 2018 (MDT)

I should also note, I do realise most of the content on that page was your own doing. If you adapt the article text such that it no longer has any copied text from the original, and is not a clear 'derivative'; You'd be more than welcome to put the race back up. I should make clear I'm not encouraging infringement, but if y'wanna explore a more clearly 'fair use' adaptation, do hit me up, or join us in the Discord (link on my user page) or somethin'. --SgtLion (talk) 05:50, 12 April 2018 (MDT)
I'd also like to note my support for what SgtLion says. If you want any help in removing the infringing bits, please let us know! We're more than happy to help legalize your content so it can remain on D&D Wiki :) --GamerAim (talk) 05:59, 12 April 2018 (MDT)
gollark: Just looking at this file here: https://github.com/mHappah3019/Tick-Counter/blob/main/TickClass.py> # creates an attribute called identifier and assigns to it> # the value of the "identifier" parameter> # creates an attribute called macro and assigns to it the> # value of the "macro" parameterThese comments are not useful. It is generally assumed that whoever is reading your code is aware of the basics of how the language is used, so your comments should instead describe higher-level stuff like *why* it's doing what it does, what an entire function does, unusual things it might be doing, etc.
gollark: Increasing the version number would imply that it's actually a significant change.
gollark: Not really, it's a minor UI reskin.
gollark: That would be more reliability, not more support.
gollark: Does Windows have much support beyond that for a random user? I don't know of any way to actually contact Microsoft and get responses.
