Virtuous being

The gods have enjoyed watching your life so far. Thanks to you amusing them, they have decided to deem you as virtuous. In doing so, they have given you a new road to walk on and opened new doors for you. You shall now draw power from the 7 capital virtues. Be sure to use this power wisely.

Creating a Virtuous being


Class Features

As a Virtuous being you gain the following class features.

Hit Points

Hit Dice: 1d12 per Virtuous being level
Hit Points at 1st Level: 1d12 + Constitution modifier
Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d12 (or 7) + Constitution modifier per Virtuous being level after 1st

Proficiencies

Armor: Medium armor, Heavy armor, Shields
Weapons: LongSword, Longbow, Shortbow
Tools:
Saving Throws: Constitution & Wisdom
Skills: Choose 3 from History, Investigation, Nature, Religion, Medicine, Insight, and survival

Equipment

You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background:

  • (a) LongSword or (b) LongBow
  • (a) Shield or (b) Shortbow
  • (a) Priest’s pack or (b) Explorer’s pack
  • (a) Leather armor or (b) Chain mail

Spell list

You use the same spell lists as clerics.

Favored by the Heavens

The heavens have taken a liking to you, be it because of your devotion or your suffering amusing them. Choose two skills you're proficient in; your proficiency has now doubled for any ability checks you make that uses them. You also become able use spells from the bard spell list.

Patience

When this virtue is gained, all attacks against you do -1d4 damage. When you obtain your 3rd virtue it becomes -1d6. When you obtain your 7th virtue it becomes -1d8 to each attack.

Benevolence

Animals begin to enjoy your company. If you treat them well they follow you and help you out in battles. The animal must have a challenge rating of 1 or less. Only one animal follows you at a time. You must roll initiative for yourself and your animal in combat.

Ability Score Increase

When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of you choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.

Kindness

This virtue allows everyone in your party to cast cure wounds if they are near you. This still requires party members to use a spell slot

Extra attack

Starting at 5th level, your animal companion can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. Beginning at the 13th level, you can attack twice.

Chastity

You become immune to all charm.

Heavenly Tongue

You become able to understand and speak all languages.

Valor

You can grant inspiration to 1 party member of your choice.

Temperance

You can cast mass healing word once per short rest as a spell like ability which uses a bonus action.

Diligence

You choose one party member to recover all spell slots. This is a bonus action which can be used once per long rest.

Hope

Once per long rest you cause 1d4 people of your choice to gain advantage on their next roll.

Humility

You become able to lower the armor class of 1 target of your choice by 1d4. This can be done once per long rest.

Generosity

This virtue gives 1d4 people resistance to bludgeoning, elemental, piercing, and slashing damage.

Multiclassing


Prerequisites. To qualify for multiclassing into the Virtuous class, you must meet these prerequisites: 15 Constitution and 15 Wisdom

If a sinner multiclasses into a virtuous being they now must roll for the 7 virtues as they would the 7 deadly sins.

Proficiencies. When you multiclass into the Virtuous class, you gain the following proficiencies: Shields, nature and medicine
