Keen Smell. The troll has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Regeneration. The troll regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn. If the troll takes acid or fire damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of the troll's next turn. The troll dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn't regenerate.

Spellcasting. The troll is a 7th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 12, +4 to hit with spell attacks). The troll knows the following sorcerer spells:

Cantrips (at will): fire bolt, light, mage hand, prestidigitation, ray of frost
1st level (4 slots): chromatic orb, detect magic, magic missile
2nd level (3 slots): mirror image, misty step
3rd level (3 slots): fear, fireball
4th level (1 slot): wall of fire

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The troll makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.

Trolls have little understanding of magic, seeing it as a strange and confusing tool for weaklings and cowards. As such, trolls that use magic are very rare, and in all likelihood, those that use it have little more comprehension of it than those trolls that don't. Troll mystics take an almost shamanistic role among trolls, who view it with a mixture of fear and awe. The thought of an ordinary troll is already unsettling enough to most civilised folk: a troll with magic is a horrible concept indeed.

gollark: I've not had *any* issues with it.
gollark: And as we all know Windows is the best thing to base your own OS on.
gollark: Good to know. I seem to have mostly fixed the potatOS compatibility issues, so it should work sensibly now.
gollark: 2.2.6, it's the version the AUR has.
gollark: It seems like two potatOS things trigger timeouts when they don't in CCEmuX: CRCing the potatOS source code, and some font library. I'll try turning it up to 2000ms then.
