Buoyant. If submerged in liquid, the Tree of Ages automatically moves 40 feet upwards at the start of its turn without using any of its movement. It cannot swim directly downwards.
If the tree of ages is reduced to 0 hit points, it begins sinking and is incapacitated, sinking completely and dying after 2d6 rounds. Every 25 damage it is reduced below 0 hit points reduces the amount of time to sink by 1 round, and it ceases sinking and is no longer incapacitated if brought above 0 hit points.

Charge. If the tree of ages moves at least 30 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a ram attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 15 (3d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 20 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Legendary Resistance (3/day). If the tree of ages fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Siege Monster. The tree of ages deals double damage to objects and structures.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The tree of ages can us its Frightful Presence, then uses its Spit and makes one ram attack.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the tree of ages’ choice within 120 feet of it and aware of it must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, with disadvantage if the tree of ages is within line of sight, ending the effect on itself on a success.
If a creature’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the tree of ages’ frightful presence for the next 24 hours.

Ram. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 50 (6d12 + 11) bludgeoning damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn.

Spit. Each creature in a 30 foot radius of a point the tree of ages chooses within 180 feet of it makes a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 18 (4d6 + 4) acid damage plus 18 (4d6 + 4) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success.

LEGENDARY ACTIONS

The tree of ages can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The tree of ages regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Attack. The tree of ages makes one ram attack.
Move. The tree of ages moves up to half its speed.
Spit (Costs 2 Actions). The tree of ages uses its Spit.

An incredibly large spider-council, composed of innumerable sorrow-spiders spread over the hulls of eight ships like melted wax, the tree of ages is a unique living ship created to both protect a chain of islands infested with and ruled by sorrow-spiders and enforce the will of their ruling spider-council. Propelled by the beating of thousands of legs, it is fairly maneuverable compared to conventional oar- or sail-powered ships.
Although almost never seen far from its home port, the tree of ages will sometimes venture to sea to either wreck ships for their crew (and their crew's eyes) or to hunt monsters which it can use to hatch spiders and form even greater councils. The "heart" of the tree, the oldest and deadliest arachnid from its core, was birthed from the eye of one such beast, a lorn-fluke betrayed and blinded by one of its own in exchange for promised secrets which never came.
