Innate Spellcasting. The thornling's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 13). The thornling can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: fog cloud
3/day each: protection from poison, spike growth
1/day each: awaken, polymorph

Spellcasting. The thornling is a 4th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 13, +5 to hit with spell attacks). It has the following druid spells prepared:

Cantrips (at will): druidcraft, poison spray, produce flame
1st level (4 slots): entangle, longstrider, speak with animals, thunderwave
2nd level (3 slots): animal messenger, barkskin, heat metal

ACTIONS

Vine. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage, plus 2 (1d4) piercing damage.

Poison Gas (Recharge 6). The thornling exhales poisonous gas in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 11 Constitution saving throw, taking 10 (3d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Thornlings are immature blackthorns that resemble thorny bushes. They have a weaker grasp of magic than mature blackthorns, but they are by no means helpless, as they can expel poisonous gas from their bodies, like their elders, and they have long, thorny vines.

gollark: Arch Linux is a Linux distribution created for computers with x86-64 processors. Arch Linux adheres to the KISS principle ("Keep It Simple, Stupid"). The project attempts to have minimal distribution-specific changes, and therefore minimal breakage with updates, and be pragmatic over ideological design choices and focus on customizability rather than user-friendliness.
gollark: By the way, I use Arch.
