Themed Spell Lists (5e Other)
If you're making a spellcaster that can cast spells on a particular theme, you can use the lists below to quickly see what might be appropriate spells. This should save you some time if you're creating the umpteenth elemental wizard or whatever. Consider pruning your selection as appropriate: for example bones of the earth could be considered a uniquely druid spell, and flame strike could be considered divine: so consider omitting them if your class is an arcane spellcaster.
