Template talk:Abandoned
Modernization
I get that we are standardizing all the templates, but what's wrong with keeping the usage on this page? Some people don't know how to use templates and won't know how to use pipes and all that. JazzMan 21:08, 31 August 2010 (MDT)
- Also, the reasoning is now required where before it was optional. So (a) there are now a bunch of templates out there which are incomplete, and (b) you are forced to explain your reasoning, and since abandoned is often self-explanatory, I don't think it's necessary to always explain. I'm just not sure what standardizing the template to use the "removing template" (whatever that is) gains us. JazzMan 21:14, 31 August 2010 (MDT)
- Sorry about the "required where before it was optional". I was trying to standardize the syntax in an area where it was not necessary to an area where it was necessary to do it so. It is now fixed. About the reasoning, I guess we could transclude the categories information like the Help:Improving, Reviewing, and Removing Templates page. Thoughts on it now?
- This modernization makes it so this page and Help:Improving, Reviewing, and Removing Templates is not included in the category page. --Green Dragon 13:23, 1 September 2010 (MDT)
- Now I got it to work. Of course getting the "No reason given" is very... difficult. Thoughts on its removal? --Green Dragon 18:21, 4 October 2010 (MDT)
gollark: It's a very overly detailed computer game.
gollark: Well, I don't know if its theology is very detailed, but it totally has the history.
gollark: Dwarf Fortress manages just fine.
gollark: People nowadays like to talk about individual spirituality and complain about organized religion and such, so this is the obvious next step.
gollark: Anyway, superior forward thinking would be to make a startup which uses modern NLP stuff to procedurally generate religions customized for each user's requirements.
